E³.series is a modular engineering system for electrotechnical, wiring and wiring harness, pneumatic and hydraulic design
E³.WireWorks is an electrical design tool for SolidWorks engineers, providing them with the ability to design, develop and document electrical cable and harness systems to be used in any industry or manufacturing segment.
Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) analysis for electrical designs & PCBs. Understand the impact of fluid flow and temperature in your electrical systems.
Electromechanical design analysis tools for SolidWorks designers
A high frequency analysis tool for SolidWorks Designers.
Wiring diagram creation can be time consuming. When creating a new project, drawing a wiring diagram can be helpful to the development process as the engineer works through technical issues and fine tunes the design.
However, when re-creating a design from existing sources, it is not necessary (or a good use of time) to redraw the wiring diagram when tools exist to create these diagrams automatically. Since wiring diagrams are necessary for documentation and servicing, the need for these drawings will be around for a long time to come. The question is, when and how to do it? What are the advantages and the drawbacks?
Faced with eager customers and a ripe market opportunity, the company used a combination of SolidWorks CAD and Zuken electrical CAD software to quickly complete a successful design.
I've been involved in harness design for a couple of years and have always dreamed of a process like this, and it's paying off big time.
