Description You will be responsible for direct sales to potential clients in an assigned territory. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing client relationships and ensuring that they fully understand the benefits of SolidWorks, and other solutions Javelin offers. If you are new to sales we’ll help you with training to improve upon your natural abilities.
Min. Experience 2 - 3 years of Design or Technical Sales experience

Requirements We are looking for people who understand our customers and can help them understand our solutions. Our customers are involved in mechanical design and manufacturing. Description Provide comprehensive Pre and Post Sales Technical Support for the EdgeCAM product including demonstrations, training, product positioning. Deliver product presentations to prospects both at the end user level and senior management level. Serve as primary technical liaison for assigned geographical or account territory.
Min. Experience 2 to 5 years CAM industry experience.
Education BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Requirements Good knowledge of the CAM industry coupled with a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 2 to 5 years' experience. Proven strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer relations skills. Must have CAM and/or manufacturing experience.
 

Technical

  • CNC machine tool programming experience.
  • Have an understanding of the manufacturing process using CNC machines.

PDM Applications Consultant

Type Full Time Position
Location GTA, Mississauga, Ontario
Description We are looking for a person who can inspire manufacturing and design companies to become better organized and then help them do it. We need a person who can listen to customers, help them define their requirements, manage a project, configure the system and teach the users. This job will involve some pre-sales demonstrations but is more focused on post sales implementations.
Min. Experience 5 years industry experience.
Education BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Requirements As our application consultant you'll work with the sales force to help define customer requirements and discuss the ROI and benefits of a PDM solution. You'll also demonstrate the software and inspire confidence in the customer.
  Once an engagement begins you'll have full responsibility for scheduling events with the customer to ensure the tools are implemented on time, and on budget, while meeting all requirements.
  You'll train the customer, gather detailed requirements, and then configure their system to behave properly. Then you'll train the end users of the system. The customer will then say how wonderful it was to work with you. While you are the prime person on these projects there is a team to back you up. You'll be responsible for teaming up to learn and get jobs done quick. You'll also take calls from existing customers and answer their technical questions.
 

Technical

  • Should have some experience with business software implementation
  • Some experience with business process mapping
  • Some industry experience with mechanical design and Solid Modeling, SolidWorks, Pro E, Inventor, Solid Edge etc
  • Well versed in Microsoft Windows and MS Office products
  • Some understanding of Networking and Databases

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience in Customer Service and Technical Support  Good working knowledge of personal computer trends, capabilities and terminology; computer hardware and software installation (including installation of drives)
  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment and of managing multiple priorities;
  • Must have experience with Windows and Microsoft XP Pro and Vista, Windows Server, firewalls, network switches, hardware and troubleshooting tools

Computer Based Training Applications Engineer (Co-op)

Description Here is a unique opportunity to learn SolidWorks 2009 (3D mechanical design software).  Javelin Technologies is updating all its web based training material for the latest release of SolidWorks.
Education Candidate should be part of a Mechanical Engineering Program
Duration 4 Months, September 2008 – December 2008
Salary $500 – $700+ /week, dependant on experience (bonus available)
Responsibilities Successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Review existing videos of SolidWorks 2008 training material.
  • Replicate the functions and actions in SolidWorks 2009 software.
  • Add new material based on new functionality in SolidWorks.
  • Provide voice narration based on scripts provided.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
Equipment provided Javelin Technologies will provide all equipment and training for the duration of this job assignment which will be:
  • Laptop computer or multimedia PC.
  • Audio Microphone and Pre-amp.
  • SolidWorks.
  • Camtasia Studio (multimedia recording tool).
  • CorelDRAW.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements Successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
