PropertyLinks runs as an add-in inside SolidWorks and is used to insert custom properties into SolidWorks files.

PropertyLinks Client Installation Steps
- Close SolidWorks.
- Uninstall previous versions of “PropertyLinks” if applicable (do not uninstall the PropertyLinks Administration Application).
- Extract the version of PropertyLinks you have downloaded to C:\Temp.
- Run Setup.exe using all defaults (if you do not have the .Net 3.5 Framework installed it will want to do this first, it can take anywhere from 1-20 minutes to do this).
- [Step 5 is for the 64-bit version only] Run “x64 PropertyLinks Registry.bat”.
- Start SolidWorks and ensure the add-in is active.
- License PropertyLinks and setup the Options.
PropertyLinks Administration Installation Steps
The Administration application can be used by any user to define property and client PropertyManager settings, or by an Administrator to govern the custom property data and settings available to a group of users.
- Uninstall previous versions of PropertyLinks Administration.
- Unzip the PropertyLinks download zip file to C:\Temp.
- Browse to the Administration folder and run “Setup.exe”.
