Ontario SolidWorks and Simulation User Group Network (UGN) Meeting

Description: You are invited to attend the next meeting for the Ontario SolidWorks User Group, which is also being run in conjunction with the Ontario Simulation User Group meeting. The mandate of these User Groups is to provide an independent forum for SolidWorks and FEA users to discuss the software and exchange information freely.
There will be a number of presentations, as well as a snacks provided, all free of charge!

 

Agenda

  • 6:00pm – 6:30pm: Opening of meeting, snacks, open discussions
  • 6:30pm – 8:00pm: "Simple Surface Modeling:"
    Mike Puckett, SolidWorks Certification Specialist, CSWE
    Demonstrating simple surface tools to solve modeling challenges not easily possible using solids tools. Surface tools will also be used to create what would appear to be simple geometry, but not easily possible with solids tools. This presentation is meant to be an introduction to anyone not familiar with the surfacing tools in SolidWorks, but curious about them.
  • 8pm - 8:30pm: "What's really new in SolidWorks 2013"
    Alin Vargatu, Javelin Technologies, CSWE
    "The presentation will go beyond the official SolidWorks What's New videos by trying to find interesting and time saving applications for the new functionality. Furthermore, the audience will be invited to participate in a brainstorming session in order to discover new ways for using the new tools and techniques introduced by SolidWorks."
