Zuken Announce the Availability of E³.WireWorks

Electrical Design for Wiring, Harness, and Cable Assemblies

WESTFORD, MA., USA – September 2nd, 2009 – Zuken today announced the availability of E³.WireWorks, Zuken’s new design solution for wiring, harnesses, cable assemblies, and panel layouts. Integrated with SolidWorks Premium Routing, E³.WireWorks enables electrical engineers to design, layout and route wiring in cabinets and control panels.

E³.WireWorks fills a much needed gap in wiring design. Its electrically intelligent database and online DRC prevent users from making errors, saving time and improving quality. Its integration with SolidWorks completes a premier end-to-end solution for cabinet and panel design.

Tony Cadwell, Manager of Zuken’s E³ Indirect Sales

E³.WireWorks’ unique design approach stores circuit diagrams, cabinet and panel layouts, and nail board drawings in one multi-view project file, automatically syncing all drawings and the BOM. When you make a change in one view (e.g., schematic), it automatically changes in the other views (e.g., cable, harness, panel, and BOM). Its electrically intelligent online DRC automatically prevents errors such as inappropriate wire sizes in terminals, short circuits between signal types, and wires that are not within the min/max specified in the library part.

This is an ideal complement to our offering. With E³.WireWorks, our users can now leverage a complete solution for the design of wiring, harnesses, cable assemblies, cabinets and panels.

Paul Boswell, Product Manager from SolidWorks

E³.WireWorks’ close integration with SolidWorks Premium Routing passes netlist (from-to connections), cable information (color, AWG), and component data (part name, pins, and associativity) between E³.WireWorks and SolidWorks. It also supports the generation of manufacturing documentation by returning routed segment and wire length information from SolidWorks to E³.WireWorks. Additionally, bidirectional highlighting enables engineers to collaborate on design issues. For even greater productivity gains, the integration also ties into SolidWorks Enterprise PDM for data management, workflow, and lifecycle control.

E³.WireWorks is available exclusively from Javelin Technologies. Click here for more information on E³.WireWorks
