A Complete Custom Property Management Solution

PropertyLinks is an add-in product for SolidWorks that allows the easy and consistent input of custom file properties into SolidWorks documents. Custom Properties are pieces of information that can be saved with SolidWorks parts, assemblies and drawings. Custom Properties can be used to populate annotations, BOMs (Bill of Material), and drawing templates/formats in SolidWorks.

PropertyLinks Professional

PropertyLinks Professional extends the functionality of PropertyLinks by enabling SolidWorks users to extract part property information out of company Access and SQL Databases. Often, purchased part numbers, descriptions, standard costs, vendor name and other attributes will be stored in a database outside of the Engineering Department such as an ERP system.

Directly from within SolidWorks, using a series of cascading pull down lists, a user can select the correct part from the database. PropertyLinks Professional will automatically extract the relevant property information. The database connections can be defined from within the PropertyLinks Administration Panel and will be immediately available to all users.

PropertyLinks Administration

Included with PropertyLinks is an Administration application which allows you to configure the PropertyLinks interface and assign presets and defaults for custom property data entry. The data files used by PropertyLinks can be stored in a central location so that all users on a network share a common set of data.

Every property field is "user defined", allowing full customization for data entry.
SolidWorks Property Manager pages are customizable.
Previous versions of data files can be inserted.
Custom Part Numbering can be setup for documents.
PropertyLinks Administration uses a wizard to link data files.
