Diagnostic & Problem Capture
SolidWorks Rx helps you to diagnose and understand how your current hardware and OS environment will impact on the use of SolidWorks and can provide recommendations for improvement. SolidWorks Rx also helps you to capture and communicate technical support issues with a three step problem capture wizard.

How to diagnose your system with SolidWorks Rx
- First close down SolidWorks
- Activate SolidWorks Rx from Start, All Programs, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Tools, and pick SolidWorks Rx from the menu
- System diagnostics will be performed when SolidWorks Rx is started and a report will be displayed in the application window as shown in the figure below.
How to capture problems with SolidWorks Rx
- First close down SolidWorks
- Activate SolidWorks Rx from Start, All Programs, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Tools, and pick SolidWorks Rx from the menu
- Click on Problem Capture as shown in the figure below
- On the problem capture page select the Begin Recording button.
- If the issue you are experiencing is repeatable, on the dialog shown in the figure below you can capture the problem by selecting the Start SolidWorks and re-create the problem option and ensure Record with video is checked and pick OK to launch SolidWorks. Alternatively you can skip this step and go directly to Problem Description.

- Once you have reproduced the issue, close down SolidWorks and click on Yes in order to describe the problem.

- Click on the Describe Problem button

- Choose a category from the pull down menu and then enter a description of the problem followed by your contact information, then pick OK
- Click on “Add Files” to include SolidWorks files related to the issue
- Zip files by clicking “Package Files” button.
- You can specify where the zip files will be saved by clicking on the “Browse” button
- Send the problem zip file to Javelin by one of the following methods:
