Phase 1: Initial Basic Training (4 Days) |
|||||||
| SolidWorks Essentials Course (4 days) | |||||||
| The focus of this course is on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the use of SolidWorks. The student will learn how to use SolidWorks to build parametric models of parts and assemblies, and how to make drawings of those parts and assemblies. | |||||||
Phase 2: Industry Specific Training (8 days) |
|||||||
| SolidWorks Assembly Modeling Course (3 days) | |||||||
| The focus of this course is on exploring the use of advanced assembly techniques and functionality. The student will learn how to maximize the use of assembly modeling techniques, large assembly management and best practices. | |||||||
| SolidWorks Part Modeling Course (2 days) | |||||||
| The main goal of this course is to teach the student how to build multibody and complex shape solid models using SolidWorks. The student will learn how to maximize the use of multibody design, sweeping, lofting, spline generation and other advanced part modeling tools in SolidWorks. | |||||||
| SolidWorks Sheet Metal Design Course (1 day) | |||||||
| The focus of this course is on multiple sheet metal fabrication techniques using SolidWorks. The student will learn to apply the many tools and options available for sheet metal design such as: building standalone sheet metal parts, converting imported geometry to sheet metal components and modeling in the context of an assembly. | |||||||
| SolidWorks Surfacing (2 days) | |||||||
| This course will teach the student how to use surface features to build parts using SolidWorks. Most of the case studies and exercises are taken from consumer product design applications, and the lessons center around the combined use of solids and surfaces. The student will also learn industry standard surfacing terminology necessary to understand a ground-up surfacing modeling approach. | |||||||
