Phase 1: Initial Basic Training (4 Days) |
|||||||
| SolidWorks Essentials Course (4 days) | |||||||
| The focus of this course is on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the use of SolidWorks. The student will learn how to use SolidWorks to build parametric models of parts and assemblies, and how to make drawings of those parts and assemblies. | |||||||
Phase 2: Industry Specific Training (8 days) |
|||||||
| SolidWorks Part Modeling Course (2 days) | |||||||
| The main goal of this course is to teach the student how to build multibody and complex shape solid models using SolidWorks. The student will learn how to maximize the use of multibody design, sweeping, lofting, spline generation and other advanced part modeling tools in SolidWorks. | |||||||
| SolidWorks Routing Course (2 days) | |||||||
| The main focus of this course is on how to create routed systems for electrical, conduit, tubing and piping applications. The student will learn how to use the standard cables and tubes tool to add ‘off the shelf’ cable and tube routes, standard components from the user library as well as combine rigid pipe or flexible conduit into one route. | |||||||
| SolidWorks Simulation Essentials Course (3 days) | |||||||
| The focus of this course is an in-depth coverage on the basics of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), covering the entire analysis process from meshing to evaluation of results for parts and assemblies. The class discusses linear stress analysis, gap/contact analysis, and best practices. Results of these analyses can then be used to optimize designs and reduce the number of actual physical prototypes. | |||||||
| SolidWorks Flow Simulation Course (2 days) | |||||||
| This course has been designed for engineers who are not necessarily specialists in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The student will learn the basics of turbulent fluid flow analysis, in addition to how to address meshing and modeling concerns, analysis, post-processing, available options and preferences. | |||||||
