- 1.06 micron wavelength – Fiber Laser: The PLS6MW can mark most metals and some plastics when configured with a 1.06 μm pre-aligned fiber laser.
- 10.6 micron wavelength – CO2 Laser: The full breadth of organic and inorganic material processing capabilities are realized when the PLS6MW is configured with a standard pre-aligned 10.6 μm CO2 laser.
- 9.3 micron wavelength – CO2 Laser: For excellent results on certain plastics, the PLS6MW can be reconfigured with an interchangeable, pre-aligned 9.3 μm CO2 laser.

Unique System Features
The patented, metal core, air-cooled, free-space slab, CO2 lasers produce excellent beam quality with even power distribution, good near-field and far-field characteristics and long life. Dual lasers dramatically increase speed, edge quality and power.
The PLS6MW has been engineered to support interchangeable CO2 laser sources that produce 10.6 μm and 9.3 μm of laser energy at various power levels, and a fiber laser source that produces 1.06 μm of laser energy.
Unique to Universal Laser Systems, Rapid Reconfiguration allows the modular platforms to be field-reconfigured with a variety of laser sources, optics & accessories, in seconds and without tools. Easily exchange laser wattage to change peak power and increase speed and throughput.
High Power Density Focusing Optics™
High Power Density Focusing Optics (HPDFO™) allow the laser beam to be focused to a much smaller spot, making it possible to engrave smaller text and produce sharper images at tighter tolerances.

1. Print Anything
Virtually any design can be printed from your design software to the laser system software. Including Adobe® Illustrator®, Adobe® Photoshop®, AutoCAD®, SOLIDWORKS®, DraftSight® and many others. Additionally, .DXF and .PDF file formats can be imported into the Universal Control Panel (UPC).
2. One Step Process
Cut, engrave and mark in one step. Additionally, you can engrave or mark a high-resolution image on material. The laser systems can perform many different types of operations in a single step by seamlessly changing power, speed and other parameters with one click.
3. Just about any material
An endless number of materials are compatible with a Universal laser system, including plastics, metals, silicone rubbers, fabrics, composites, laminating adhesives and other advanced materials to name a few.
