SOLIDWORKS Upgrade Checklist

Here are two SOLIDWORKS Upgrade Checklists to help you transition to the latest release of SOLIDWORKS. There is a checklist for both the SOLIDWORKS Standalone and Network versions:

List #1: SOLIDWORKS Upgrade Checklist (Standalone Version)

Prepare

Install

  • Run ‘Setup.exe’ from the downloaded folder (by default in Documents\SOLIDWORKS Downloads)

    • Select ‘Individual Installation’ then Next, include any applicable serial numbers
  • Select which Products to Install, Download Options, Installation Location and Toolbox Options
    • Click ‘Change’ beside any category to customize
  • Click ‘Install Now’ to begin installation (may take 20 minutes or more)

List #2: SOLIDWORKS Upgrade Checklist (Network)

Prepare

Network Server Install

Client Preparation

Client Install

  • Run ‘Setup.exe’ from the downloaded folder (by default in Documents\SOLIDWORKS Downloads)

    • Select ‘Individual Installation’ then Next, include any applicable serial numbers
  • Select which Products to Install, Download Options, Installation Location and Toolbox Options
    • Click ‘Change’ beside any category to customize
  • Click ‘Install Now’ to begin installation (may take 20 minutes or more)
  • Open SolidNetwork License Manager Client with administrator rights from Start > SOLIDWORKS Tools

    • Ensure the Server List tab is pointing to correct server (25734@servername)
