Shrink your SOLIDWORKS Feature Tree using the Variable Pattern

The Variable Pattern can be considered the most powerful “macro-feature” in SOLIDWORKS. It can help to reduce the FeatureManager Design Tree of complex parts by a factor of 10 or more; it is the only pattern feature that accepts as input: 2D Sketches, 3D Sketches, Planes, Axes, Reference Points and Features.

Here’s what you will learn in this session:

In this presentation you will see real-life case studies where the SOLIDWORKS Variable Pattern eliminated the need for manually creating hundreds of sketches, planes and features. In one case, in particular, the Variable Pattern was the only possible solution for creating a parametric model, highly adaptable to design intent changes.
