Vote on your favorite ideas for improving SolidWorks

Great News – the voting has been opened for new ideas on improving SolidWorks software! It is probably the best opportunity for us, the users, to make our voice heard by the product definition groups at DS SolidWorks. The top ten ideas (based on our votes) will be presented at SolidWorks World 2012. Historically, over 85% of the enhancement requests on each year’s top ten list are implemented in future releases of SolidWorks. So vote on a favorite enhancement you would like to see and it may just show up in a future release. To access the voting page you have to be a SolidWorks subscription customer with a forum account on http://forum.solidworks.com. Once you are logged in to your forum account, please CLICK HERE to start voting.

Thinking outside the box “101” with SolidWorks

So your company has just made a great investment in one of the premier CAD design tools in the industry, SolidWorks. What is the next step? In many cases, giving a designer a new design tool is just not enough to increase their productivity. Can your company’s existing hardware even run SolidWorks? It’s important to have proper hardware in place, to ensure great productivity from your design team. If they do not have the tools necessary to do their job effectively, they cannot be productive. A highly computer intensive application like…
