There once was a time when coworkers had to send emails to different parts of the world, wait for updates and responses, waste time searching for files, and still not having all the correct information after all that time! Fortunately, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform provides all the tools to help users clearly capture their ideas and share them with colleagues instantly.
There is a comprehensive list of applications to choose from on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to help with collaboration, one of these tools is 3D Markup. With a 3D Markup, users can clearly highlight problems, ask questions, and communicate thoughts. A markup can easily be shared in places such as the 3DSwym community or in Collaborative Tasks. Below is the workflow to create a 3D Markup.
- Open the 3D Markup application from the Compass or drag it into your dashboard if you intend to use it often.
- Open a component, existing markup, drawing, or any other type of approved file type.
- Select the Markup icon from within the Markup tab to create a new markup.
4. Insert any notes, shapes, or annotations needed to share your thoughts, these can be captured to slides to accurately share information. Issues and Change Actions can also be generated from 3D Markup.
Users can easily take screenshots of markups and post to the 3DSwym community to share ideas. After inserting notes, shapes, and annotations, simply clicking on the 3DPlay application from the compass will switch from 3D Markup to 3DPlay while keeping the document active in the window. Users are also able to create a markup from 3DPlay too. By clicking on the Annotations Commands icon in the Tools menu of the 3DPlay window, some annotations similar to those made in 3D Markup can be created.
Explore 3D Markup, 3DPlay, and the other applications available on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform today. See what kind of tools are available to help improve collaboration regardless of where colleagues are!
