Transitioning to DSx Client Care & Order System

The SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal and Admin Portal has been the “go to” place over the decades to access downloads and other subscription-based benefits. Previously users would register the Customer Portal account with a serial number or through the Admin Portal. These SOLIDWORKS Portals are being phased out and replaced by DSx Client.
The Admin Portal is replaced by DSx Client Care & Order (dsxclient.3ds.com). With the transition to a unified Dassault Systemes ecosystem, the new DSx Client Care & Order portal allows administrators to add users for full access to the SOLIDWORKS websites (downloads, Knowledge Base, MySOLIDWORKS, etc.) provided your company has active Subscription Service. The new portal has a Contact Administration page (accessed from the Main Menu dropdown) to invite users and assign roles for access. Registration with a serial number is no longer needed.
The Customer Portal is no longer needed for registration. Once a user is added and assigned a role in DSx Client by their administrator, they have full access to all SOLIDWORKS sites. It’s recommended to bookmark https://www.solidworks.com/support/home for easy access to all links.
You can download a detailed DSx Client guide here:
Administrators
If your account was previously used as an administrator through the Admin Portal, you already have Administrator roles assigned for access to the DSx Client. You will need two roles assigned:
- Security Administrator
- Support Administrator
IMPORTANT: The Security Administrator role and Support Restricted role should NOT be assigned to the same user. This is a known conflict. The Security Administrator can be combined with the Support Administrator or Support Advanced role if a support role is required.
New contacts can be added and assigned roles through Main Menu > Contact Administration. New contacts should receive an invitation email to sign in or create a new 3DEXPERIENCE ID.
Should you have any issue accessing the DSx Client Care page, please contact your SOLIDWORKS Administrator or Reseller. If you are a TriMech, Javelin, or Solid Solutions client you can contact our support team.
Utilisateurs
Standard users only require the Support Restricted role for full access to the SOLIDWORKS websites. The 3ds.com Support role will give limited access to the Knowledge Base and therefore should not used.
IMPORTANT: Support Restricted, Support Advanced and Support Administrator roles give access to submit SRs in a 3DSupport app. However we strongly recommend submitting tickets through our website directly at trimech.com/support to ensure a timely response.
Access Content
Once all contacts are added and roles assigned, be sure to bookmark https://www.solidworks.com/support/home. This is now the “go to” page for all things SOLIDWORKS!
