3D Printed Javelin Coat Hanger

In this time of the year a warm coat is an indispensable piece of attire. Therefore, a good coat hanger is a necessary accessory for any office cubicle. Fortunately, at Javelin, we have plenty of resources to create our own coat hanger – with 3D CAD experts on staff, SolidWorks CAD software and of course, a Stratasys Connex 3D printer.

Rob Greer, our 3D Printing Lab Manager and Certified SolidWorks Expert modeled the Javelin coat hanger. We needed a material with enough flexibility to fit firmly onto the cubicle without warping, and robust enough to hold heavy coats for extended periods of time.

• The material we chose: RGD5160-DM, the ABS like material from Stratasys.
• The result: a nice functional hanger to hang our winter coats.
