As a follow-up to Scott’s great article: What to do if your DraftSight installation has expired — I thought I should highlight another great resource PDF that the DraftSight Team had posted to help with activating DraftSight. March 2017 UPDATE: A new Critical Hotfix is now available for DraftSight The image below is a snapshot of a PDF flowchart that focuses on any issues activating DraftSight, and what settings are required if your IT department has employed security settings that are preventing you from activating DraftSight online.
For those of you using DraftSight for all of your dwg/dxf needs (highly recommended over 2DEditor!), you may have noticed an expiration message recently. If you haven’t opened the program recently or never knew how to solve this expiration message, the reason is that DraftSight was still in its Beta stage. Beta1 expired and Beta2 was then released. But now the Draftsight has just released the full version. The solution is to simply uninstall your current version, then download and install the full general release. You are able to download the installation files from here.
