E3 has a very good collection of components from different manufacturers and all the symbols and panel models are part of the components. Having said that what if you don’t want to work with components in the initial design stage?

You can just as easily work with symbols. There is an extensive symbol library and you can find all the standard symbols segregated by their device type for easy navigation. You can also use the customizable filters to narrow down to your preferred set of symbols.

When you are ready to assign components or part numbers to these symbols you can just right click on the symbol and in the device properties choose a component from the smart drop down list or open the library pop up and filter the smart selections even more before you choose you component and you are done. While making these selections E3 gives you an intelligent selection of components that match your symbol type. So if you are going to assign a component to the Motor Symbol you will not have to sift through VFD part numbers!!

Each project is different in its own way and your design system should be flexible to handle those curve balls. E3 WireWorks gives you the flexibility to design according to your needs and works with you to make that design intelligent, accurate and easy to accomplish.
