Generally within SOLIDWORKS Electrical each component’s attribute data is displayed on a single line of text.  This is great for showing component information within your electrical projects, however when a single attribute becomes too long we can run into some issues.

Luckily this can easily be solved by using the multiple attribute command within the symbol editor.  From here we can split up any electrical attribute into multiple lines.  The number of lines needed and the spacing between them can be specified using the multiple attribute command manager:

Once we have split up our attribute appropriately, the final step is to edit the necessary information within the manufacturer part properties. Here we will add a vertical bar “|” in the location where we would like to place the carriage return.

Now simply update the symbol in your project, and we have successfully split our attribute from a single line into 5 separate lines for a much cleaner design!
