SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2019 Topology Study Mesh BREP Export

SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2019 introduces an option to export the smoothed mesh from a Topology Study directly as a mesh BREP body.  The exported mesh boundary representation body (aka BREP) are created from mesh facets (triangles) to generate surfaces based on limits.  A solid body generates a watertight boundary mesh where surfaces bodies would just be an open surface BREP.

SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2019 Topology BREP Mesh Export

To export the Topology results as a BREP Mesh Body, select ‘Advanced Export’ in the Export Smoothed Mesh options.  Then enable ‘Create bodies bounded by single faces’.  This is only available for Solid and Surface bodies.

Enabling ‘Group facets into faces’ will combine similar mesh facets to generate selectable faces on the mesh.  Otherwise any selection on the mesh will select the entire mesh body.
