Installing SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard or Professional

In this tech tip I will show you the steps for installing SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard or SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional software.

The SOLIDWORKS Visualize product was added to the SOLIDWORKS group of products in 2016 as a high-level rendering tool.  SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional and Standard editions are available to users.  SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard is included in subscription services for SOLIDWORKS Professional and Premium licenses.

Installing SOLIDWORKS Visualize with the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager

SOLIDWORKS Visualize products are installed using the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager, which can be downloaded from the DS SOLIDWORKS website.  An existing individual SOLIDWORKS installation can be modified to add SOLIDWORKS Visualize:  Control Panel > Programs and Features > SOLIDWORKS > Change > Modify your installation.

Whether creating or modifying an installation, click Next to get to the Serial Number dialog.  Expand Visualization section, select SOLIDWORKS Visualize, enter its serial number and proceed with Next.  A separate field is provided for the Visualize Boost license.

In the Product Selection dialog, enable SOLIDWORKS Visualize and proceed with the installation.  SOLIDWORKS Visualize Boost is used with Visualize Professional edition and has a separate serial number.

SOLIDWORKS Visualize is launched as a standalone application.  It is available as a network or standalone license type.
