3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 is in full swing in Houston, Texas, bringing together a vibrant community of designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders to learn, engage, share knowledge, and drive innovation. A big focus of today was on 3DEXPERIENCE Artificial Intelligence and how we can use the technology to enhance our existing workflows.

The first day of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 kicked off with an energetic welcome from host Tracey Wilson, setting the stage for an exciting event. The general session began with Dassault Systèmes executives introducing 3D Universes – a new vision for the future of SOLIDWORKS. These Universes offer a range of capabilities while seamlessly connecting with each other, providing an enhanced, integrated design experience.

3DEXPERIENCE Artificial Intelligence

Another major highlight of the day was the introduction of 3DEXPERIENCE Artificial Intelligence (AI) which works directly with the data you’re already storing on the platform. The AI implementation focuses on two key areas:

  • Generative Experience – Assisting engineers in designing faster and more efficiently.
  • Virtual Companion – Featuring Aura, Dassault Systèmes’ new AI-powered virtual assistant. Aura interacts with users to answer questions about 3DEXPERIENCE products, offers guidance, and suggests the next steps in the design process to help achieve project goals.

Technical Breakout Sessions

Beyond the general session, attendees engaged in interactive experiences and breakout sessions throughout the day. One exciting demo featured Spot, the robotic dog from Boston Dynamics, showcasing advanced robotics in action. Another session provided an inside look at the team behind the 3DEXPERIENCE Artificial Intelligence implementations, exploring the future of machine learning and 3DEXPERIENCE. Amongst the many TriMech presentations, Tracy Wettig hosted an incredible Save that View! session where she talked about the differences between snapshots, display states, and configurations. It was a very interactive session with a ton of great conversations. If you missed it, be sure to tune in to SOLIDWORKS LIVE on Tuesday to see an encore of the presentation.

Enhancing your Experience

Additionally, we learned about the new self-support hub for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform – a resource designed to help users quickly resolve common errors based on real-world user experiences. Toward the end of the day, a sneak peek was provided into the new mechatronics roles coming soon to 3DEXPERIENCE. This integrated solution will combine mechanical, electronic, and programming capabilities into a single environment. The official release of this product will be announced in an upcoming general session – so stay tuned!

What’s Next?

Day 2 begins with another general session, continuing today’s momentum. A variety of TriMech-led sessions are on the agenda, alongside many other exciting presentations from industry experts and thought leaders. Whether you’re looking for more information on 3DEXPERIENCE Artificial Intelligence or technical sessions from SOLIDWORKS experts, you’re bound to walk away with valuable insights.
