3DEXPERIENCE World 2025: Day Two Recap
Article by Alaa Hosn updated February 25, 2025
Article
The first day of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 started strong and the second day kept the same energy going with tons of great information being shared with the SOLIDWORKS community.
After the morning general session, users were free to attend breakout sessions and hands-on workshops. The 3DEXPERIENCE World playground was also open for users to explore throughout the day. There was a lot to take in, but in case you missed it, here’s what happened on day two of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025.
Tracy’s Technical Tips
The day got started a bit early when one of TriMech’s many Elite Application Engineers, Tracy Wettig, presented at the SOLIDWORKS LIVE desk before the general session kicked off. She shared incredible information on leveraging various SOLIDWORKS tools to capture and access specific views in different configurations, display states, and snapshots. This was an abridged version of her extremely well-attended session from the day before and served as an extra opportunity to soak the knowledge in.

The Introduction of Aura at the General Session
The morning’s general session was led by the CEO of SOLIDWORKS, Manish Kumar, and was full of new announcements and interesting guest speakers. Manish shared how artificial intelligence (AI) will be utilized to make SOLIDWORKS more efficient. Tools introduced soon will help predict a user’s next command while designing making the design process faster and more efficient.

3DEXPERIENCE Artificial Intelligence
Potentially the biggest announcement was the introduction of Aura, an AI-powered virtual companion developed to enhance user interaction within its platform. Aura works in the context of SOLIDWORKS to provide deeper answers and solutions to problems, built-in SOLIDWORKS training, and can even generate quickly rendered images of designs.
The keynote speakers for the day came from companies using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to collaborate and design with their teams. They discussed the challenges they faced and how 3DEXPERIENCE helped to quickly solve them. There were speakers from companies that are 3D printing human cells, harnessing renewable energy from waves, and deploying energy solutions rapidly to remote locations just to name a few.

Expertly Led Breakout Sessions and Hands-on Workshops
Day two was packed full of breakout sessions and hands-on workshops aimed at helping attendees learn new skills and become more successful SOLIDWORKS or 3DEXPERIENCE users. The most popular sessions were hosted by Alin Vargatu, a Process and Training Consultant from TriMech with a passion for large assembly performance. Alin had multiple sessions on day two to discuss using assembly visualization to provide feedback when building assemblies and how to improve performance for large assemblies.

The 3DEXPERIENCE World Playground
In the 3DEXPERIENCE World playground, there were a lot of interesting things to do and see. Students from universities shared their projects created with the educational version of SOLIDWORKS. Additionally, the SOLIDWORKS Makers were there showing off their cool builds! Some of TriMech’s partners including SolidCAM, Dell, and Nvidia were in the playground showcasing their technical excellence in the world of SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE.

It wouldn’t be 3DEXPERIENCE World if there weren’t Model Mania challenges. This year, there were battles featuring one-on-one matchups between SOLIDWORKS users in addition to the traditional booth-style entries. One of the biggest crowd pleasers was being able to do a Model Mania using SOLIDWORKS 95 and putting in perspective how far our favorite CAD ecosystem has come.

Looking forward to Day Three
The second day of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 delivered valuable technical knowledge, product updates, and practical applications of SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE. There were incredible AI enhancement announcements, like the introduction of Aura, as well as great success stories of clients using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. As the event moves into its final day, users can continue to expect a deep exploration into cutting-edge technologies that will reshape the future of engineering.
