In this post I will show you how to create a SOLIDWORKS multi jog weld symbol. This is one of those neat options that can help a lot especially when dealing with complex drawings. Usually there are a lot of dimensions, notes, balloons and so on; and fitting all of that information into your drawing views can be challenging. One of the most common symbols in mechanical drawings is the weld symbol. The weld symbol feature has several options available. You can add a jog to your weld symbol while you are adding it to your drawing or after placing it in a view. A question we often receive from customers is…how to create a SOLIDWORKS Composer Multi-line Leader?  In this article, I will discuss how to quickly create and remove multi-line leaders in Composer. Notice that once a label or callout is selected or highlighted, a plus sign appears on the right or left hand side of the label as shown in the image below. Simply clicking and dragging on this plus sign will generate a second line to your labels, and from here you can drag to whenever you would like to locate the leader lines.  Using this same method, you can create as many additional lines as you would like. How to draw Arrows in a SOLIDWORKS Drawing

On some occasions arrows are needed in a SOLIDWORKS drawing to point to a detail or highlight a feature. In such instances, some users take advantage of the “Note” command with arrows and leave the text box empty. However, there is not much flexibility with that solution. Draw Arrows in SOLIDWORKS In SOLIDWORKS the Multi-jog Leader command allows you to draw arrows with various end shapes. This command can be found from Insert > Annotation > Multi-jog Leader. This command works very similar to the Line command. The default for the command is to continue adding lines until it is selected to end. To end the line you either double-click or righ-click and select end leader.
