How to add a dummy part to a 3DVIA Composer project

Sometimes in 3DVIA Composer you need to show an item on the BOM but there was no actor in the file to represent it.  Items like glue or tape might need to be called out on the BOM.  What we can do is insert a “dummy” part in 3DVIA Composer that will show on the BOM.  Here’s how:

1. Right-click at the top of the tree and choose “Create Dummy Actor”

2. Select the new actor and click the “Manage Meta-Properties” button

3. Insert Properties to show in BOM using the dialog.  Be sure to enable the checkbox before clicking OK!

4. Select property in property window and then enter the value
