When is a Single-Line Drawing more than a “Single Line Drawing”

Most people who have designed a system understand the importance of a single line drawing in the design process. It gets you going in the right direction and what we are trying to do is use it a blueprint for the design to come. Nothing new there we all know this or at the least should know.
But … Here is the Kicker – Very few and I mean very few companies are actually using the single line drawings as a blueprint – at least the right way. Yes a lot of people look at the single line and convert them into 3 phase production drawings referring back and forth making mistakes – correcting them and the cycle continues.
How would you feel if there was a way that all the logic from the single line carries over to the 3 phase drawings automatically?
Yes I said it folks, E3 Wireworks does it for you – You do your single lines and then when it is time to move on to the 3 phase drawings you will see these nice colourfull dotted lines telling you very politely of course – “CONNECT ME HERE”. That is not all though E3 Wireworks automatically adds the appropriate wires to the connection. So if you had inserted a cable in the single line because you wanted to be diligent and manage your cables right from the start (which is the way to do it) the SAME cable will connect the 3 Phase connection as well AUTOMATICALLY. You don’t have to force it or do some crazy back flips for that to happen. It is designed this way intelligently and for the savvy designed of today. When inserting the cable in the single line it knows that you are connecting the 3 cores or how many ever you want to connect and represents all of it in single line but carries the knowledge to you 3 phase design. No need to looking back and forth or any of the other theatrics that we had to do before. By the way it also works backwards (3 phase to single line) if you ever want to do it that way.
E3 Wireworks is the tool if you want to negate design errors right from the start. It is easy to avoid errors when the error free path is highlighted for you with flood lights or may the IMAX projector!!
For those of you who live by the ‘seeing is believing motto’– I am going to put up a video sometime in the near future , if you can’t wait you can always post a request and may be motivate me to do it sooner.
