Help! I Can’t See My Model in SOLIDWORKS!

When providing technical support to our customers I see this issue a fair amount among new users. They cannot see their part on the screen but the feature tree is still visible, and if they click on a feature they can see a silhouette of the model as shown in the figure below:

The majority of the time this is a quick and easy fix, by changing the Bodies display.

To do this, expand the FeatureManager design tree and check the display status of the Solid Bodies folder. If this is set to Hide, the part will not be visible.
