Often, one of the many patterning tools available inside of SolidWorks, is used to create additional instances of a Hole Wizard feature. The resulting instances will update correctly when the Hole Wizard feature is changed, but this method will add additional features to the Feature Manager.
Long lists of features in the Feature Manager can make navigating the Feature Manager cumbersome and can also lead to confusion. While the Hole Wizard feature and the pattern features can be added to a folder, this does require an additional step .
Many of the patterning tools that are available at the feature level are also available at the sketch level.
We can use these tools to create all of the Hole Wizard holes in one feature.
