Have you ever wanted to translate and rotate entities at the same time, using SolidWorks Composer? When you attempt to impose multiple motions on the same actor, chances are that it is not going to work.

A simple trick to make this work is to:

  1. Move the actor into an empty assembly group
  2. Impose the translation motion on the actor
  3. Select the group in assembly selection mode
  4. Impose the rotation on the assembly group (not type in the angle rather than using the graphics window to impose the angle of rotation).
