Reverse Sketch Offsets SOLIDWORKS 2016

In previous SOLIDWORKS releases it was impossible to change the direction after using the Offset Sketch Entities tool. If you made a mistake in the offset direction you had to delete and redo the command.

In SOLIDWORKS 2016, you can reverse the direction of an offset sketch entity with the REVERSE DIRECTION functionality.

To reverse sketch offsets you have three choices:

1. In the Dimension PropertyManager, under the Primary Value window, click  

Reverse Direction

2. Or double-click the offset dimension in the Modify dialog box, and insert a minus sign before the existing dimension.

3. Or right-click the offset dimension, and select Reverse Direction from the menu.
