Modelling a simple straight spring in SOLIDWORKS is really easy. But what if you want to model a curved spring in SOLIDWORKS? The best example of a curved spring is a garter spring; which is a coiled steel spring that is connected at each end to create a circular shape. Curved springs are used in oil seals, shaft seals, belt-driven motors, and electrical connectors.
