SOLIDWORKS 2017 Dynamic Reference Visualization Redesign

In SOLIDWORKS 2017 the Dynamic Reference Visualization has been redesigned!

Dynamic reference arrows have been redesigned to improve clarity in the FeatureManager Design Tree. The white dot shows the originating feature, and the new arrows won’t get in the way of underlying text in the tree.

The arrows are really useful in identifying parent child references in a long FeatureManager Design Tree. As a bonus, notice how you can hover over any Feature Manager errors or warnings and see a popup with the What’s Wrong message and quick access to the Edit Feature command. This means less menu hunting to make repairs and edits.
