SOLIDWORKS 2019 adds Simulation Pin Connector improvements to Nonlinear Static and Nonlinear Dynamic studies that was introduced in Simulation 2018 for Linear Static, Frequency, Buckling and Linear Dynamic studies.
You can apply a single pin connector to up to ten coaxial cylindrical faces in Nonlinear studies. These can be part of a single body or multiple bodies/components.
The solver calculates the Pin Connector force/moment/torque at the centroid of each cylindrical face attached to the pin. So in the case above with four holes, there are four Connector Results.
Another addition in Simulation 2019 is a preview of the Connector Force directions when selecting in the Result Forces PropertyManager. Make the component transparent for easier viewing.
