3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 Conference and Exhibition (formerly known as SOLIDWORKS World), is a global event for the creators, builders and innovators who want to expand their skill sets and learn about all the advancements having an impact on the future of design. The 2020 conference is set to take place February 9-12, 2020, at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN.
This conference will provide you with the opportunity to discover new techniques, get hands-on training with products, and give you valuable insight into new and emerging technologies. Not only will this event strengthen your personal engineering and design skills, but more importantly, it will benefit your company as you can share what you learned with the rest of your team.
But does the new name and branding mean there is less SOLIDWORKS training available than previous SOLIDWORKS World conferences?
New Name Same Training Aim
3DEXPERIENCE World!? Yes, Dassault Systèmes changed the name, yet there is much more to it. We’re happy to say the impact is substantial, and in a very positive way. Next year in Nashville, you will be able to choose from 50 percent more training sessions than previous years, and with a much wider offering of learning experiences on the latest innovations in 3D Design, Data Management, Simulation, and Manufacturing.
Does this mean the number of available SOLIDWORKS training sessions has increased?
Yes. In fact, Dassault Systèmes have indeed increased the number of sessions available in all of the SOLIDWORKS training disciplines, including: Academia, Data Management, Electrical and Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Design, Simulation, and Visualization.
What’s with the additional 50 percent sessions?
SOLIDWORKS has joined forces with other Dassault Systèmes brands to offer attendees a significant number of NEW sessions relating to Data Management (ENOVIAWORKS), Manufacturing (DELMIAWORKS, formerly IQMS), and Simulation (SIMULIAWORKS). As announced at SOLIDWORKS World 2019, these cloud-based solutions will be part of the 3DEXPERIENCE.WORKS portfolio, bringing you the power and breadth of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform with the simplicity and ease-of-use of SOLIDWORKS.
For example, in addition to learning about SOLIDWORKS Simulation, attendees will now also have the opportunity to explore additional Simulation products and training content from SIMULIAWORKS. Want to stick with the SOLIDWORKS-related content only? No problem.
With the expansion of the training content available at the event, there are additional classrooms to accommodate more training sessions.
What else is changing about the SOLIDWORKS training?
Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced Sessions
Rather than the presenters categorizing their 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 training sessions as Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, they have been asked to think about the audience they intend to speak to. Based on the robust SOLIDWORKS Certification Program, which certifications would most enable attendees to get maximum value from their session?
Dassault Systèmes will continue to offer free certification testing on Sunday, February 9th, 2020, as part of a Full Conference Admission.
Session Sorting and Searching
To ensure all attendees have a great session discoverability experience, you will now have the ability to tag sessions with multiple, searchable filters. Attendees can choose to sort their training schedule by Discipline, Certification Level, Session Type, Session Length, and of course, by Brand/Product. If you know exactly what you’re looking for, you will also have the ability to search the agenda directly by keyword.
30-Minute Training Sessions
Dassault Systèmes will launch their first-ever 30-minute training sessions at 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020. If you’ve ever attended one of Dassault Systèmes 22-minute webinars, you know that a LOT can be learned in just under a half hour. DS had several goals in mind when choosing to go this route. With so much new content to explore on the training agenda, DS wanted to make sure attendees had a short and sweet option to learn about content potentially outside of their comfort zone.
Are these 30-minute sessions going to decrease the number of hours you can spend in a classroom?
No. In fact, the addition of these sessions also increased the number of training hours available to attendees overall.
Should I Attend 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 if I need to learn SOLIDWORKS?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to develop, hone and expand your skills across the topics you find most valuable; but at 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020, you’ll not only have more SOLIDWORKS training sessions to choose from, you’ll also have the option to explore additional topics to expand your skill-set as you see fit. With more than 350 technical and hands-on sessions to choose from, we’re confident there’ll be something for everyone.
