Achieving SOLIDWORKS certification is a significant milestone in your CAD Design journey. SOLIDWORKS Cert Prep: Practice Exams

Practice exams in PDF form are available for most SOLIDWORKS certifications. Checking the SOLIDWORKS Certification page shows the exams you can take. Exploring this page further by selecting “Exam Information” next to the certification of your choosing will bring you to the content on the exam and a link to a zip file, which has practice exercises and their answers. To take this further, the CSWA and CSWP have practice exams in the virtual testing client. I highly recommend attempting these practice exams in the testing environment to familiarize yourself with the certification process.

SOLIDWORKS Cert Prep: MySOLIDWORKS

MySOLIDWORKS, which you should have standard access to if you are on a subscription, has not only certification prep courses but also guided solutions to the practice exams and exercises you can attempt. Simply log in, navigate to training, and search for the CSWA or CSWP in the search bar. MySOLIDWORKS also has quick links to other commonly used SOLIDWORKS resources, like a library of pre-made CAD models from the community and forum posts. SolidPractice documents are also found here, which can be beneficial in learning new topics or getting more advanced in others.

SOLIDWORKS Cert Prep: TriMech Training

It’s true that the best way to prepare for an exam is to jump into a hands-on training course. SOLIDWORKS Essentials is foundational to understanding best practices for modeling, and it is instrumental in helping you succeed in getting your CSWA and even your CSWP after completing the course and spending some time practicing in the software. There are tailored training courses specifically dedicated to the topics for the CSWP-A exams (Sheet Metal, Weldments, Surfacing, Mold Tools, and Drawings) that you must complete to achieve your CSWE. Many of our trainers have achieved these certifications as well, so if you’d like advice on the best approaches, feel free to reach out to your local TriMech Applications Engineer.
