SOLIDWORKS Simulation Contact Pressure Plots in 2D Simplification

For the first time, in SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2014, you can view the contact pressure plots in linear and nonlinear 2D Simplification studies.

Contact pressure is developed in areas where two bodies come into contact during the analysis and no penetration contact is defined. To enhance the visibility of areas that come into contact and their view is obstructed, an option to show the contact pressure plot only on selected entities is available.

For 3D plots, the results are extruded across the section depth as defined in the properties of the study (plane stress, plane strain), or revolved about the axis of symmetry (axi-symmetric studies).
