SOLIDWORKS 2018 Automatic Solve and Undo for Sketches

Using Automatic Solve specifies whether SOLIDWORKS should automatically do the computation to solve the sketch geometry of your part as you create it. When you are in the process of changing many dimensions in an active sketch, you may want to turn off the Automatic Solve option temporarily.
Same as older versions of SOLIDWORKS, the Automatic Solve could be turned on or off from Tools > Sketch Settings > Automatic Solve. A check mark next to the menu item means that computations are solved automatically.
SOLIDWORKS 2018
Now in SOLIDWORKS 2018 you can enable and disable SOLIDWORKS Automatic Solve Mode and Undo, and modify the threshold limit for sketch entities. Previously, when you worked with large sketches, the Automatic Solve Mode and Undo would repeatedly turn off in large sketches.
Note: When Automatic Solve is off, a message in the status bar says Auto-Solve Mode Off. When you are in the process of changing many dimensions in an active sketch, you must turn off the Automatic Solve option temporarily.
Parts and Assemblies
To control Automatic Solve and Undo in Parts and Assemblies we need to use tools/options. Click Tools > Options > System Options > Sketch.

Turn On/Off Automatic Solve Mode in Parts and Assemblies
To disable the behavior of automatic turn off of Automatic Solve Mode and Undo, clear the checkbox for “Turn off Automatic Solve Mode and Undo when sketch contains more than this number of sketch entities”. The threshold limit number of sketch entities to trigger Automatic Solve option on could be modified by entering a specific number in the front of the “Turn off Automatic Solve Mode and Undo when sketch contains more than this number of sketch entities”.
Drawings
To control Automatic Solve, Undo, and No Solve Move in Drawings we need to look for it at Tools > Options > System Options > Drawings > Performance.

Control Automatic Solve Mode in Drawings
To disable the behavior of automatic turn off of SOLIDWORKS Automatic Solve Mode and Undo, clear the checkbox for “Turn off Automatic Solve Mode and Undo and turn on No Solve Move when drawing view contains more than this number of sketch entities”. The threshold limit number of sketch entities to trigger could be modified by entering a specific number in the front of the “Turn off Automatic Solve Mode and Undo and turn on No Solve Move when drawing view contains more than this number of sketch entities”.
Note: The system options above are selected by default. If you clear the options, Automatic Solve and Undo tools remain enabled regardless of the number of sketch entities you create.
