You can create a custom SOLIDWORKS coordinate system in a model that can be used for reference in Measure, Mass Properties or exporting to a neutral file (Parasolid®, STEP, IGES, etc). This can also be used for assembly mates and in Simulation for remote load locations.
This is located under the Reference Geometry drop-down.
Define a location for the origin based on a vertex or point, and use a reference to change the direction of X,Y,Z as needed.
Select this Coordinate System feature to reference this new location as the origin and axis directions.
