Controlling the Display of Hidden Edges in SOLIDWORKS Composer 2021

Now in SOLIDWORKS Composer 2021, the visibility of hidden edges can be controlled, when we select or highlight elements. We can define the colour and intensity used to display hidden edges whereas this wasn’t possible in SOLIDWORKS Composer 2020.

To control the visibility of hidden edges follow the steps below:

• In the Default Document Properties/Default document properties (for newly imported files) > Selection page
• On the Selection Page, the Show hidden edges checkbox and the Color Intensity slider are added in the Selection and Highlight sections.

In the Document Properties > Advanced Properties page, four corresponding properties are available in the Selection category.

These new properties replace the Show hidden edges option and the Intensity slider that were available in the Application Preferences > Selection page in previous versions of SOLIDWORKS Composer.
