Find solutions with the DS Knowledge Base

The DS Knowledge Base provides access to a wealth of technical content for all Dassault Systemes products, including SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE applications.
SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal to DS Knowledge Base
With the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal functionality transitioning to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, all existing content has been migrated to the DS Knowledge Base. Filters allow you to narrow down your search to find results specific to your environment.
- To start, create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID with your email address. If you had previously created a SOLIDWORKS ID then continue using this log in information. Your SOLIDWORKS ID is your 3DEXPERIENCE ID.
- Your ID then needs to be associated with an account that has licenses with active subscription. Have your administrator log into the DSx Client & Care portal to add you as a contact and assign a role. General users only require Support Restricted roles.

Search Filters
When searching, it’s important to add filters. If you are looking for how-to information related to a SOLIDWORKS topic then the following filters would be beneficial:
- Brand: SOLIDWORKS
- Knowledge Type: Guide for Users & Question & Answer (can also use Bug Report & SPR to include known issues)
- Language: as needed
Saved Queries and Favorites
To save time, saved queries and favorites can be created. Add any common filters and click ‘Save my query’ under the search box. Then you can use this query to automatically have the filters enabled.
Click the Add to Favorites icon beside individual results to save for future reference.
These are quickly accessed from the main search page.
Advanced Search
The Advanced Search gives syntax options which can further improve results.
