How to use multiple SolidWorks serials with the SolidNetwork License Manager

Article by Adam Harte-Maxwell, CSWE created/updated August 5, 2010

So, how does someone who possesses 2 or more network SolidWorks serial numbers use them with the same SolidNetwork License Manager?  Great question!

You’ll be happy to know that I have the answer for you!

1) First off, the serial numbers you wish to use must be entered when the license manager is installed.  Each serial needs to be separated by a comma (,) as shown in Image 1.  I’ve highlighted the tip that’s actually provided on this screen as it’s easily missed.

2) Complete the installation and activate.

3) You’ll have to activate each serial separately as shown in Image 2.

4) Upon successful activation of all serials, check the License Usage tab to verify that all your products are listed and that the quantities match up; see Image 3.
