Transferring Weldment Cut-list Properties to a Mirrored Part

Weldment cut list properties can be transferred to the mirrored part using either of the two following methods:

Method 1 – Semi-automated:

Create a weldment part template that will be used to create the mirrored part. This weldment part template, should have the ‘weldment’ feature inserted in it.

      

To ensure that the mirrored part template is used, in Tools > Options > System Options > Default Templates, either make the weldment template as the default template, or enable the option, “Prompt user to select document template“.

Method 2 – Manual Process:

Create the mirror part with the normal template, and then insert the weldment feature in the mirrored part. Do a Ctrl+Q and then ‘update’ the cut list.
