Sometimes you want to add an angular dimension from the vertical or horizontal, but there isn’t anything nearby from which to dimension. SolidWorks 2015 now gives you the ability to dimension between a line and an imaginary horizontal or vertical line. A reference cross-hair appears when you select a line and one of its endpoints, giving you the option to select the vertical or horizontal.
