SOLIDWORKS Professional 2016 Includes ScanTo3D

Starting with the 2016 version, users of SOLIDWORKS Professional can use the ScanTo3D add-in to create CAD models from scanned data.  This add-in was previously only available with SOLIDWORKS Premium.  For more details about SOLIDWORKS license types refer to SOLIDWORKS Product Matrix.

There are three ways for you to access SOLIDWORKS add-ins as described in this blog article.

SOLIDWORKS 2016 Help includes ScanTo3D Overview with a number of articles that explain how to import scanned data, create mesh, generate CAD model using curves or surfaces, etc.
