In SOLIDWORKS Inspection 2018 Standalone, numbering sequences can be applied to characteristics to differentiate machining methods, drawing views, drawing sheets, etc. Starting with the first number of the range, balloon numbers are incremented by one. Numbering sequences are specified in project options and can be saved in a template.
To add a sequence to the project, go to Home tab, select Options > Project Options > Characteristic > Numbering Sequences. Click plus (+) button to add a sequence. To change sequence name or starting value, double-click in the corresponding field and type in. Default sequence cannot be changed. Select a sequence and click minus (-) button to remove it.
Numbering sequence can be selected before dimensions and annotations are ballooned:
