The SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2018 Routing Integration upgrade has taken the ambiguity out of SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D and completely adopted the SOLIDWORKS Routing platform. Note the electrical component wizard below in SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2017:

Where to find the feature:

SOLIDWORKS > Open a part > Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Electrical Component Wizard

Required Add-ins should be turned on:
