How to Perform an OR Type Search in SOLIDWORKS PDM

In SOLIDWORKS PDM entering values within multiple controls on a search card, performs an AND condition type search:

This is essentially performing a search for any files with the Description Variable Plank AND the Material Variable Mahogany, returning any files containing both values.  But, what if you wanted to search for two different material types with the description variable containing Plank?

How to run an OR Type Search

Using the Variables tab of the default Complete Search card, we have much more control over our search and can define different operators such as OR.  Therefore to perform a search for files containing the Description Variable Plank AND have the Material Variable Mahogany OR Oak, would look like this;
