SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2016 Defining Wire Order

SOLIDWORKS Electrical has always had the ability to assign the correct wire order when multiple wires intersected or connected. Users were able to change this sequence using the from to list for the wire cabling order.

In SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2016, they added nodal indicators as shown in the image below:

Now the flow of connections can be represented. The feature would need to be turned ON in project configuration and the oblique line can be adjusted for length. For example with this intersection of 3 wires , shown as a standard T connection…

Can be better defined by applying the Wire order tool as shown in table below, each button selection derives the new ‘From Wire’ to ‘To Wire’ results (Clockwise from the top left corner of this tool)
