SOLIDWORKS 2016 Component Visibility Toggle

New in SOLIDWORKS 2016 is the ability to toggle the visibility of assembly component solid and surface bodies by moving your pointer over a body in the graphics area and clicking the ‘Tab’ key to hide or the ‘Shift + Tab’ key to show. Hide/Show Components with the Tab key

Show [all] hidden components

In addition if you are working in an assembly and you want to temporarily show one or more hidden bodies this is easily achieved with a tab key combination.

  • Move your pointer to the graphics area,
  • Press and hold Ctrl + Shift + Tab will temporarily display hidden bodies/components as transparent bodies.
  • Click on a transparent body to make it visible.
