The option to dismiss and re-enable messages in SOLIDWORKS has been discussed in previous blog posts. Here are three examples of a SOLIDWORKS dismissed message causing unexpected behavior.
- If BOM cells cannot be edited, enabling dismissed message ‘The cell value is linked to a property in an external model…’ may correct the problem.
- If a SOLIDWORKS file cannot be saved, it may be that the prompt to convert an older-version file to the current version has been dismissed.
- When assemblies open with components suppressed, check if the prompt to search for missing component has been dismissed.
